Sebene Night is an ode to Afro cultures from the continent and the diaspora, and more specifically to Congolese rumba.

Sebene is a typical element of Congolese rumba, performed on electric guitar. This guitar riff is a remnant of West African workers in Congo, whose musical evenings brought people together. Congolese artists took this seventh riff and renamed it Sebene (seven).

During Sebene Nights, this classic Afro music is combined with contemporary dance crews.

The force behind the concept, choreographer-rapper and inspirer of Congolese descent Rabba, along with his band The Kingz (whom he has been touring with for around seven years), brings together artists from different cultures and gives them the opportunity and space to let their creativity run wild. After editions in Ghent and Antwerp, Sebene Night is back in Brussels after 4 years, for a major celebration with lots of music and dancing.
