Diaspora Talk is een  intergenerationeel gesprek met de Afrikaanse diaspora, waaronder zowel mensen die in België zijn geboren als mensen die op het Afrikaanse continent zijn geboren. Met hun eigen unieke achtergrond zullen zij hun levenservaringen delen. Terwijl we de verhalen delen die ons verbinden, zullen we een aantal intrigerende vragen bespreken die de ervaringen belichten die ons hebben gemaakt tot wie we vandaag zijn. Hoe is het om in België te wonen? Is het belangrijk om de band met je land van herkomst te behouden? Hoe onderhoud je deze relaties precies?

We gaan in gesprek met onder anderen Idrissa Tikane, Saidou Guiro, Elisabeth Vergauwen en Virginie Ribagiza. Het gesprek zal gemodereerd worden door Rhoda Yeboah.

Diaspora Talk is an  intergenerational conversation with the African diaspora which includes people born in Belgium as well as people born on the African continent. With their own unique background, they will share their life experiences. As we share the stories that connect us we will go over a couple of intriguing questions highlighting experiences that made us who we are today. So what is it like to live in Belgium? Is maintaining the connection to your country of origin important? How exactly do you sustain these relationships?

We will go in dialogue with Idrissa Tikane, Saidou Guiro, Elisabeth Vergauwen and Virginie Ribagiza. This conversation will be moderated by Rhoda Yeboah.

Diaspora Talk est une conversation intergénérationnelle avec la diaspora africaine, qui comprend des personnes nées en Belgique ainsi que des personnes nées sur le continent africain. Chacun avec son parcours unique, ils partageront leurs expériences de vie. En partageant les histoires qui nous relient, nous aborderons quelques questions intrigantes mettant en lumière les expériences qui ont fait de nous ce que nous sommes aujourd’hui. Alors, comment se passe la vie en Belgique? Est-il important de maintenir le lien avec son pays d’origine? Comment entretenez-vous exactement ces relations ?
