๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ฒ๐๐ง๐ ๐จโฏis an independent clinical psychologist, behavioural therapist, speaker, and space creator working under the name ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ข – meaning โtalk to meโโฏin her mother tongue, Swahili.โฏ As a Black psychologist, her work centers on the intersection of mental health and social justice. Brenda primarily supports individuals who are systemically marginalized and consciously works from a contextual, creative, and culturally responsiveโฏtherapeutic approach.โฏAs an antidote to the strongly cognitive frameworks of care in which she was trained, she founded Healing Movements – a creative therapeutic approach that integrates talk therapy with body-based practices, rooted in holistic care, cultural awareness, and collective healing. In 2025, she appeared in the third season of the VRT television program Therapie. Brenda regularly gives workshops and talks on the impact of racism on mental well-being, as well as on diversity and inclusion.
