(Pas) mon pays, part I & II
Description : Artist Bie Michels was born and raised in Congo. She grew up in a house on the campus of the current University of Kinshasa. The first part of the film introduces a colonial monument in Mechelen and Michels' efforts to decolonize this image, together with a group of Belgians with Congolese roots who live in the Mechelen area.

The second segment shows the artist's visit to Congo and is based on her personal history. (Pas) Mon Pays, Part I and II is an attempt to bring the present and the past together in order to better look at the future of our current post-colonial situation, both in Congo and in Mechelen.
